Travel Tips for the Millennial Traveller

Travel Tips for the Millennial Traveller

Akeel Firdous.Apr 05, 2018
Traveling is by far one of the most favourite activities of a millenial. Sometimes we plan and plan and plan before we (don’t end up) going for the trip and sometimes we just hop in our cars and take off. However, it is always a good idea to keep in mind whatever essentials you’ll need on your trip.   Choose your main bag Wherever you're planning to go, pick luggage that is versatile, lightweight and big enough to hold all your essentials. Opt for a bag that will meet all your needs. If you’re going to a place that has frequent showers, go for a water-resistant bag. If you’re going hiking you may want to do so with a bag that allows you to charge your devices. The Kaka bag has an inbuilt USB device which lets you charge your phone while you’re on the go. Toiletry Bags When you plan a trip for a long number of days, you need to carry the essential products that you use on a daily basis. Your toiletries & cosmetics should be stored properly so that they don’t break. Even the lotion that you are carrying could spill in the entire suitcase so you shouldn’t simply drop them in your suitcase. Designate a toiletry bag with a zip that serves the purpose of keeping toiletries safe and unopened. Mosquito repellents Be it a good cream or a spray, mosquito repellents are a great way to keep yourself safe from the dangerous insects, especially when you are taking a hiking or a trekking trip. Many cities around the world are not necessarily neat and thus, you may be prone to catching infections if you don’t carry the repellents along. Torch with extra batteries Millenials are inherently explorers and so they are going to need light for the late night adventures. These days, different flashlights are available on the market which can even get recharged by themselves. Your phone might have a torch, but not as good as a flashlight would. If you are planning to take night strolls in an unknown area, you must keep this with you. Snacks Definitely an essential! Ever wake up in the middle of a red-eye train journey hungry? Or it’s near midnight in your hotel room and you’re starving, but you don’t want to pay the preposterous charges for room service or the minibar? A pack of peanuts or an energy bar in your luggage will seem like a godsend. Carry tang or sugar toffees for whenever you are feeling physically down. These will boost up your energy and you will be ready to take over the world all over again.
